Here is the first review for my new book Genie in a Bottle.

"Genie in a Bottle: The First Wish is the first book in Pol McShane’s exciting new series.  The main character is a sweet teenager named Madison Reed, who has always had a very tight bond with her father.  It’s just the two of them since her mother passed away and they’ve had a difficult time dealing with the loss.  Life gets turned upside down when Madison makes a grand discovery: a genie in a bottle! Inas, a three thousand year old genie, and Madison quickly form a close bond and Inas seems to be the savior by filling every void in Madison’s life: friendship, love, and adventure.  Most importantly, he brings hope to Madison’s life for a brighter future for her and her grieving father. However, everything is not so simple, there is a dark side to the world of genies and it feels as though the entire universe is conspiring against them.

It was enjoyable to get lost in Madison and Inas’ magical world. I felt a real connection with the characters and the experiences they have endured. If you are like me, you’ll breeze through this book because you won’t be able to put it down.  You won’t be able to stop wondering what Madison will wish for and what your own wishes would be if only you were fortunate enough to discover that bottle first."

We've started a new year. We've started a new opportunity to be a better person. A happier person. It's no secret that I'm one of the worst bloggers around. Why? Because no one reads it. And that had been a difficult thing for me to handle for years. So I feel I don't need to try.  2018 was a bad year. No only because there's a new problem with the cunt in the White House every day, but with people in general. People have gotten more violent and uncaring. Freedom of Speech?

  It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. It’s been a while since I’ve done any type of writing. I don’t even have a website anymore. I wasn’t planning on writing anything, probably eve again, but lately, things have been changing.  The “Supreme” Court has been making very dangerous changes to the laws in our country. Particularly six of the judges. Six CONSERVATIVE judges, who are forcing us to go back to the 1950’s! Their latest stunt is allowing businesses to discriminate against LGBT+ people if they don’t want to serve them, because it’s against their religion. They’re claiming it falls under the First Amendment: freedom of speech.  Oh, yeah, we’ll, here’s some freedom of speech for you: Fuck them!!! Fuck all Republicans!!! Fuck Donald tRump and his illiterate cult. Finished another one

After an almost seven month break from writing, yesterday I finished another book. It is the first installment of a new new trilogy called My Leprechaun . The first book is titled The End of the Rainbow . I'm excited about this series, but I'm also filled with angst. Finishing a book and getting it ready to put out into the world and see what it does is usually an exciting time. There's always that chance that this book will be the one that puts my name on the map. In pure blog openness,  that's what I had hoped for when I released Reunion last October. It was my first ghost story, and I thought it would make a huge splash. But it didn't. I fought for months just to get a few reviews.  The excitement fizzled and faded. And something inside me turned off. That was the start of my break from writing.  I was sure I was done working so hard for nothing in return. But there was this story that I had wanted to tell for years. I had almost finished the first draft months
