Trying to stay positive . . . again.

No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to fight those negative feeling, as I work my ass off with marketing, but seem to get nowhere. I "beg" for reviews, try to spark conversations on FB pages, all to no avail.

However, I see other authors with comments on their posts, and readers saying how they're excited about the books they publish, and all-around support.

Yes, I have a handful of people who show their support, but a handful does not a good writing career make.

But as a writer, I will continue writing and pushing forward in hopes that my big break will one day show up.

  It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. It’s been a while since I’ve done any type of writing. I don’t even have a website anymore. I wasn’t planning on writing anything, probably eve again, but lately, things have been changing.  The “Supreme” Court has been making very dangerous changes to the laws in our country. Particularly six of the judges. Six CONSERVATIVE judges, who are forcing us to go back to the 1950’s! Their latest stunt is allowing businesses to discriminate against LGBT+ people if they don’t want to serve them, because it’s against their religion. Finished another one

After an almost seven month break from writing, yesterday I finished another book. It is the first installment of a new new trilogy called My Leprechaun . The first book is titled The End of the Rainbow . I'm excited about this series, but I'm also filled with angst. Finishing a book and getting it ready to put out into the world and see what it does is usually an exciting time. There's always that chance that this book will be the one that puts my name on the map. In pure blog openness,  that's what I had hoped for when I released Reunion last October. It was my first ghost story, and I thought it would make a huge splash. But it didn't. I fought for months just to get a few reviews.  The excitement fizzled and faded. And something inside me turned off. That was the start of my break from writing.  I was sure I was done working so hard for nothing in return. Quarantine day 14

Woke up this morning with a bout of allergies. Pretty unnerving when it happens during a pandemic. Scratchy throat and headache. But I know it's allergies. For one, Steve had a scratchy throat before he went to bed last night, but it's not now. Also, I feel better than I did when I first woke up, having taken my daily allergy pill. But the main reason we're certain that allergies are the culprit is because of the weather. Two days ago it was warm. Then the temperature dropped and overnight we got three inches of snow. Yesterday was colder but sunny enough to melt most of the snow. Today it's going to be in the 60's. Tomorrow and Tuesday we'll be in the 70's, before the temperature falls down to the 30's and we get more effin' snow! 😡 Anyway, the updated guidelines for the Covid-19 pandemic, or as tRump calls it: "C-O-V-I-D-19."
