What to talk about on day 46 . . . let's see . . .

It's drizzling. Not an actual rain that we need, but we'll take it. Of course it's cold again. Yeah.

Oh, yesterday Steve and I tried to watch The Joker, because it had won awards and everyone raved about it. We had never really wanted to watch it, and after we got maybe half way through, we realized we were right.
We hated it. It was depressing and weird. There's too much depressing and weird in real life right now.

It's funny, the way that happens to us with movies. There have been many occasions where a film is a hit and everyone loves it, but when Steve and I watch it, our opinions are total opposite from the rest of the world. We're left with feeling like, Why does everyone like this movie?

Hairspray!
Moonstruck!
The Color Purple!
Life of Pi!
Aladdin!
Love Simon!

Those are some good movies! 😊

Not sure which movie today holds, but whatever it is, it'll be better than what we watched yesterday.

    I agree with you. I watched The Joker last year. It was really depressing. I was left in tears at the cinema and couldn't move from my seat for a while...

We've started a new year. We've started a new opportunity to be a better person. A happier person. It's no secret that I'm one of the worst bloggers around. Why? Because no one reads it. Freedom of Speech?

  It’s been a while since I’ve posted here. It’s been a while since I’ve done any type of writing. I don’t even have a website anymore. I wasn’t planning on writing anything, probably eve again, but lately, things have been changing.  The “Supreme” Court has been making very dangerous changes to the laws in our country. Particularly six of the judges. Six CONSERVATIVE judges, who are forcing us to go back to the 1950’s! Their latest stunt is allowing businesses to discriminate against LGBT+ people if they don’t want to serve them, because it’s against their religion. They’re claiming it falls under the First Amendment: freedom of speech.  Oh, yeah, we’ll, here’s some freedom of speech for you: Fuck them!!! Fuck all Republicans!!! Fuck Donald tRump and his illiterate cult. Finished another one

After an almost seven month break from writing, yesterday I finished another book. It is the first installment of a new new trilogy called My Leprechaun . The first book is titled The End of the Rainbow . I'm excited about this series, but I'm also filled with angst. Finishing a book and getting it ready to put out into the world and see what it does is usually an exciting time. There's always that chance that this book will be the one that puts my name on the map. In pure blog openness,  that's what I had hoped for when I released Reunion last October. It was my first ghost story, and I thought it would make a huge splash. But it didn't. I fought for months just to get a few reviews.  The excitement fizzled and faded. And something inside me turned off. That was the start of my break from writing.  I was sure I was done working so hard for nothing in return. But there was this story that I had wanted to tell for years. I had almost finished the first draft months
