Colorado not home

Five years ago I thought, when we moved to the mountains of Colorado, we had found our forever home. The scenery and wildlife are amazing. I fell in love!

But then, the people started showing their true colors. Especially after we had moved down to the Springs. Very unfriendly people, and the majority are tRump supporters. Suddenly everything seemed tainted, and became more so every day.

It's a shame that people can ruin a place. The Charis Bible College (a place where hate is taught) in Woodland Park has ruined that town. It's full of bible thumpers who are only in town for a few months to learn more about hatred and how to spread it.
It's sad, how religion can get so twisted.

Steve and I are very religious. We say our prayers each night and several times during each day. We have faith in God and put faith in Him when things are tough.
But as far as religion--people too often use it to spread hatred and violence. I cringe when I hear someone say they're a Christian. To me, that no longer brings images of doves and peace and love. It immediately conjures up images of angry faces, judgements, and violence.

Anyway . . .

I don't know what the future holds for Steve and I, especially now with the world changing so rapidly. But whatever is in our future, Colorado won't be part of it. It will be part of our memories, and there are some good ones from our time at the cabin, but that's where it will end.

But wherever we end up, I know we'll be together, so we'll land fine. For the time being, we'll just hang out in our apartment safe and sound, while the outside world protests the guidelines that were put in place to keep them safe, and continue to act like uncivilized rebels.

Stay safe. Stay inside. 💓
