Nothing new

Nothing new has been going on. Just working to try and survive. Steve’s been commuting to Denver every fucking day because he got a good job. But it’s only u til December when a new place opens down in the Springs. Until then, I’ll stress and worry about his safety.

I’m not working on a new book right now because I’ve lost all enthufor writing. The lack of reader support and reviews have taken their toll.

Just a quick hello-

As I sit here waiting to begin my work day, I wanted to just say a quick hello. As you can tell by the lack of a picture, I'm on my iPad, my new best friend. I never thought I would love the iPad as much as I do, but I do. I'm sill learning all the ins and outs, but I'm getting there. Things have been pretty much going in a steady forward motion for me. Steve is finally felling better, which always eases my mind tremendously. Book sales have been great. Work has been not as horrible as it usually is, so that's a nice change. And Buster, well, he's still his cute adorable self. The weather here in Austin has begun to slowly feel more like Texas weather; that is to say, it's getting hot as shit. I told myself, this year I would try and not get as stressed about the weather as I did last summer. Today in history-

It was forty years ago today that the Stonewall riots took place. To be perfectly honest, I didn't know until today that the riots lasted for six days. I wonder if that makes me a bad gay person, not knowing my own history. Oh well, I try. I never did excel in History back in school. But the fact remains, that the riots were a pivotal turning point for the gay community. It almost makes me wish something similar would happen again to get people to allow us to marry who we're in love with. But I'm not a very violent person, so deep down I hope there's another way. But if those fuckers don't listen soon . . . I haven't done much today. It's been too hot to venture outside without the fear of my skin burning off my bones. I went to the gym this morning, then spent most of the day working on edits for The Rise of the Son . I could have finished all of them, but Steve's working again tomorrow night, so that will give me something to do. Speaking ...

Just full of giddiness!

Not sure if it's really all that manly to be full of giddiness, but I don't know of any other way to describe it.  One of the rules of blogging, especially for a writer, is not to bore your readers with the same old subject over and over.  But Luthor is a major part of my life right now, and things are beginning to change because of it. And the title of this blog is the daily ups and downs of  an up and coming writer, and over the past few years there have too many downs.  I am on the way up, and I'm gonna shout it from the top of a mountain (from the top of Pike's Peak, eventually). I just got done preparing a couple of packages for some people who have purchased signed copies of Luthor .  And as I was doing it, I was so happy. Actually over the past few weeks I have been so happy.  Sales have been great.  People have been talking to me about the book and telling me about the emotions it took them through and how if effected them.  Ea...
