The stress of parenting

For those who don't follow me on Facebook or Twitter and are not caught up in the latest drama-Steve and I became parents again two months ago. We adopted a little brother for Brodee, his name is Finn. He is now 4 1/2 months old, and life has begun to fall into a bit more of a routine again. But two months ago, life was not pretty. It was chaotic, to be precise. The sleepless nights, the constant taking him out to pee (we live on the third floor), the eating everything on the ground, the zoomies . . . But, it's calmed (well, he still gets the zoomies), and I can start getting back to working out, and writing, and doing all the things that had to be put aside for a while. And hey, I have a new book out! Reunion ! Check it out here! Also, if you would like an autographed copy, with a Reunion bookmark, just click here! Thank you!

Luthor has always had a special place in my heart. From the moment I first finished the book, it was one of my favorites. And now my favorite has a brand new cover! I love it! Once again, Angela Tolle has proven herself to be a true artist. Thank you! If you haven't yet read this book and met the boy called Luthor, don't worry, I won't hold it against you. But now's your chance to buy the paperback, and add it to your book collection. Click the link below to get to Amazon! And please do me the huge favor of posting a short review when you've finished. It helps with the success of the book. Thank you to all you! Click HERE
Bulking up

For years I've been trying to bulk up. Back in the day, I had a pretty good body going on (I was also in my 20's). But as the years passed, the workouts suffered, the laziness increased, and my chances for the body I always dreamt about got further and further away. I've always had weight problems, never able to gain. My metabolism is to blame. I thought it would slow as I got older, but alas, nope. When I don't eat a meal, or am very active during the day, I can easily lose several pounds. At my lightest, about four years ago, I weighed in at 121 lbs. Yikes, I know. Since then I have worked at staying away from being that light, but the heaviest I managed was 127. Two months ago, when we moved from our beloved cabin in the woods down to the Springs, I made a vow to make big changes. I joined the gym down here and have been going religiously. I have also been drinking weight gain shakes three times a day. I am happy to say that things are working! ...
Only 30 more years

They say that human civilization will end by 2050. At first I scoffed at this notion. That's only 30 years away. That's ridiculous. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that there may be some truth to the statement. Human can't go a week without one of us grabbing a gun and killing numerous innocents. Bombs go off and kill hundreds. Old viruses, like measles and polio, are reemerging now. Bees are dying out. In turn, so will our pollinated food supply. Now, on top of everything else that is happening to the planet with floods, drought, and deforestation, the Amazon Rainforest, one of the major sources of our oxygen, is burning. If it isn't stopped before it reaches a critical stage, it won't recover, and it will turn into a desert wasteland, therefore drastically amplifying climate change. So, yes, I do believe we only have 30 more years. What are you going to do with your time?
Another mass shooting

There were two mass shootings yesterday. This has gotten worse since the orange KKK leader took office in the White House. People are being urged to spread violence and hatred. The KKK leader in the White House thrives on it. Society is falling apart. The end of humanity is beginning. Humans did this to themselves.

Well, it's been a week. We are moved into the apartment down in the Springs. We still have some stuff to move from the house, but for the most part, we're done. I never thought I'd see this day. When we found the Cabin Above the Clouds, I thought it was going to be our forever home. But life had other ideas. As for the future? Well, that has changed over the last 24 hours, too. Originally we were selling the house because Steve was getting transferred to Texas, well, that's no longer happening. But it's a good thing. It wasn't exactly as if I were counting the days before we moved to Amarillo, Texas. So, our new life has begun. I am going to focus all my energy on my writing, and things are going to be changing for the better!
Gloomy day

Pretty gloomy day today, but hopefully the last one for a while. We’ve been having showings for the house, but no takers. It’s making me crazy because it hurts to sell the place, but I’m stressed we won’t sell the place. I’ve been trying to write, but the past few days I just can’t focus. Yesterday I sat at my desk for almost half an hour and hadn’t typed a word. We just need to get the house sold and move down to the Springs. Just get it done. Send good vibes our way. Hey, don’t forget to visit my Amazon page. I know you haven’t read all my books yet. Thank you! Amazon
Difficult Days

For those of you who may not know, Steve and I had put the Cabin Above the Clouds on the market. The reason for this was due to Steve's job transferring him to Texas in a few months. While we try to be optimistic about it all, it doesn't lessen the fact that it is painful, and yesterday was a bad day. This was supposed to be our forever home. But that turned out not to be the case. So we will have to say goodbye to the mountain, the view, the deer, turkeys, and bears. You never know when life is going to turn everything upside down. Got to learn not to get too comfortable. Who knows what our future will bring, but this time I'll go into it with my eyes wide open.
Broken

This winter has been bad. Really bad. We’ve had snow since October, and have received over six feet to date. I have always been a huge supporter of the cold and snow, a snow bunny, if you will. But no more! This winter has broken us. And to top it all, Steve and I both got sick again. It happened last year and now this year. We rarely get sick, but have gotten zapped two years in a row. Although I’m on the mend, I still feel the residual crap that’s left afterwards. But on the brighter side, I am going to be making huge heath changes.

It’s been a long winter thus far. We’ve had snow since the third week in October. I’m so over it! Steve is, too! But on the lighter side of things, I had a breakthrough for a great new YA series. I don’t want to say too much about it now, just to protect the idea until I’m deeper into the book. At the moment, I’m just into the initial story notes and character creating. This will be my third YA series. I never thought I would be writing this genre, but I love it, and I can’t wait for everyone to read the new one.
Tough winter

I would normally say that I am a lover of cold weather, but not this winter. This winter has been very tough. We’ve gotten a lot of snow, had ice build up on the roof that caused a skylight to leak, frozen pipe from the guesthouse/office, and all around windy cold. I’m very ready for Spring! As far as my writing goes . . . I’ve been in a bit of a slump as I try to do research and create storylines for my new book. Reunion is still being edited. Not sure if I’m going to self-publish that one or try for a publisher. Time will tell.
The light . . .

Well, 2019 seems to be getting off to a nice start. We have gotten plenty of snow, which should make for a calmer summer, where fires are concerned (fingers crossed). Also, Steve has managed to avoid the worst of them, thankfully during his hour and a half commutes. He's either stayed in Denver, or had been off, or the snow had stopped by the time he needed to leave. On that subject--we found out several days ago that Steve's transfer date to the Springs has been moved up to February 11th! An end to his eight months of commuting three hours a day is in sight! The proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. I'm so proud of him. I have also started work on the initial notes and storyline of my next book, while Reunion goes through several editing stages. I think I'll refrain a bit longer on revealing the storyline itself, but I will say that the subject is something I am actually terrified of. So we'll see if facing your fears and all that shit is real. ...

We've started a new year. We've started a new opportunity to be a better person. A happier person. It's no secret that I'm one of the worst bloggers around. Why? Because no one reads it. And that had been a difficult thing for me to handle for years. So I feel I don't need to try. 2018 was a bad year. No only because there's a new problem with the cunt in the White House every day, but with people in general. People have gotten more violent and uncaring. As a society, it is clear that we are declining. It's been extremely difficult attempting to stay positive over the last 12+ months. But that is going to change. I am going to fight for positivity. No more depression. No more doubting myself or my writing. If people don't want to read my blog, big fucking deal! I don't care anymore. The time for change is now! No more thoughts of suicide (yes, there have been days). No more self-depreciation. I will do whatever I can to be successful...
